Project detail

Phase III of the Swat Motorway is planned from Mingora (in vicinity of Ayub Bridge linking Mingora to Kanju) to Bagh Dheri - Chikrai. Motorway alignment from Chakdara to Mingora (Phase II) initially staked out previously, is also being reviewed by M/s Pavron. The start point for Phase III is proposed on the right bank of the river (Kanju side) where adequate vacant land is available in addition to the feasibility of the motorway to cross Ayub Bridge onwards towards Bagh Dheri. The Total length of the project is approximately 42Km with an additional 10Km of link highways connecting S3 and N95 with the interchanges. A total of Nine (09) interchanges have been planned providing access to Barikot, Shamozai, Kanjo, Mingora, Malam Jaba, Sher Palam areas of Swat district. The motorway is provided with four (04) main bridges crisscrossing River Swat at various location which will provide easy entry/exit facility for local community in addition to the tourists. Phase II and Phase III projects were combined into a single project named as Swat Motorway Phase II starting from Chakdara to Fatehpur. The total length of the project is now appoximately 80KM.
