Strategically, peace has returned to the area and following the security concerns, the link forms an important part towards the sustainable security of the area. The improvement of this important road link will benefit the estimated population of around 543,254. Also, populated areas such as Thall, Spinwam, Shiwa, Mirali, Miranshah, Bannu, Kohat are the main beneficiaries since the project road is an important trade route to Ghulam Khan Border with Afghanistan.  

The Total length of project road is 54km, with a carriageway width of 7.3m & treated shoulder of 2m on each side, mostly flexible pavement while a rigid pavement is provided in Gradient/Urban areas. This road is being constructed with a design speed of 80 kmph and includes 217 culverts & 03 Bridges as well.
