THE PROJECT

The Sambrial–Kharian Motorway is a planned extension of the recently completed Lahore–Sialkot Motorway, designed to further enhance regional connectivity. Spanning approximately 70 km, the motorway will feature five interchanges, traversing the outskirts of Gujrat while bypassing Kharian, and will initially terminate at a strategically selected location. It will be constructed as a four-lane facility (2x2), with provisions for future expansion to six lanes to accommodate growing traffic demands. As part of a larger development program, the project aims to link major population centers along the eastern corridor and ultimately connect to Rawalpindi/Islamabad. The scheme has reached an advanced stage of planning and is ready for execution.
