THE PROJECT

The Lahore Sialkot Motorway (LSM) (91.446 KM) forms part of an economic trade corridor connecting the Kala Shah Kaku Interchange (N-5), Lahore to Sambrial Town of Sialkot District. The motorway attracts most of the through traffic, reducing congestions and road accidents on the existing National Highway N-5 that passes through built-up towns of Punjab. The motorway has number of interchanges providing access to Narawol, Jaranwala, Rampura, Pasrur and Sialkot. Presently, the Motorway is constructed as a 4 lane (2x2) controlled access facility, 91.446km in length, with provision of extension to 6 lanes (3x3) on the outer side within the minimum 100m Right of Way (ROW). The Project is implemented as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on a Built-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis. The scope of the motorway project includes structural works, drainage and erosion protection works, ancillary works, interchanges with Toll Plazas, landscaping / horticulture and intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
